Attorney Mukaddes Gunsu AKCAGOZ – (Owner)

Born 1964 in Istanbul. In 1983, after graduating from German School of Istanbul  (Istanbul Deutsche Schule – in German), one of the most prestigious high schools in Turkey, she earned her law degree in 1988 from Istanbul University, Faculty of Law. In 1997, pursued her graduate degree  in private law with Marmara University. Certified English and German interpreter. After completing law internship in 1989, practiced law with the following entities: Koçtuğ Maritime Business, STFA, Anadolu Anonim Turkish Insurance Company, Newcastle Protection and Indemnity Insurance Co. (England). Started MUKADDES LAW FIRM (formerly known as EMPATHY LAW FIRM) in 1996. Worked as a legal counsel at Avus LLC, foreign invested company between 1998-2005.

Attended and accomplished variety of professional developments through prestigious Turkish universities, Istanbul Bar Association and overseas in Barcelona, Amsterdam, London, Paris. Earned reputation for her wide range expertise in management, international law, prevention of human trafficking, international arbitration, criminal law and defense counseling, family law, cross-examination, maritime and charitable foundation law, brand mark-patent.

One of the founders of the Women’s Rights Commission of Istanbul Bar Association. Continue to serve as member of the board of directors for KA-DER (The Association for the Support of Women Candidates) and various non-governmental organizations.  Selected by European Council to represent Turkey, among other 100 candidates, in International Criminal Court, formed in Haley/Holland. Educated as defense attorney through ERA (Academy of European Law), non-profit public foundation organizes conferences and seminars around Europe.

Rewarded as highest tax payer in 2009 by the Istanbul Tax Authority and continue to serve her clients through Mukaddes Law Firm founded 1996.
